Set of 8 dining chairs designed by Niels O. Møller and produced by JL Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark in the 1960s. Model 401.
The Model 401 chair is characterized by its minimalist lines and functional form. It features a gently curved backrest but is more “straight lined” than most of Niels O. Møllers designs. Therefore it looks a but more robust. The wide seat and sturdy frame provide great comfort. This particular set is made from dark-stained solid oak and fitted with brand new paper cord seats. The frames have a few scuffs here and there, which add to the character of the chairs.
